<h4>Job  Responsibilities, Accountabilities, Duties</h4>
<h4>Account Services (80%)</h4>
<ul>
<li>Develops/implements/evaluates  strategic marketing campaigns and communications programs/tools for assigned  agency clients</li>
<li>Manages  all team activities for assigned accounts  to ensure deadlines are met; delegates  responsibilities to team members; responsible for team production of  high-quality work</li>
<li>Maintains  outstanding client relationships through effective communications, reporting  and problem-solving.</li>
<li>Serves  as day-to-day client interface; plans and leads client meetings (including  client contract/financial discussions)</li>
<li>Sets  realistic client expectations on all projects; continually keeps client abreast  of status of current projects</li>
<li>Develops  overall marketing strategies for assigned accounts</li>
<li>Pitches  high-level media and/or complex story ideas</li>
<li>Edits  all content and collateral before sending to client for approval</li>
<li>Conducts  and leads internal account brainstorming meetings</li>
<li>Assists  Practice Leads in grooming Account Managers, Account Executives to better  service their accounts</li>
<li>Supports  additional client activities as requested by agency leadership ; actively  participates in special projects of the agency</li>
</ul>
<h4>Human Resources (10%)</h4>
<ul>
<li>Conducts  new employee interviews</li>
<li>Conducts  direct report employee annual reviews</li>
<li>Manages  employees</li>
<ul>
<li>Provides clear direction on assigned client  projects</li>
<li>Assists in serving as mediator/counselor for  employee issues</li>
</ul>
<li>Participates  in administrative functions of the company, including  staff meetings, office support and  team-building exercises</li>
</ul>
<h4>Business Development/Agency Marketing (10%)</h4>
<ul>
<li>Participates  in new business development inquiry meetings<strong></strong></li>
<li>Participates  in evaluation and development of new business proposals/scopes; assists with  editing of such documents<strong></strong></li>
<li>Actively  identifies, pursues new business development opportunities with established  clients.<strong></strong></li>

<p>Success in the Senior Account Manager  position will be measured by the following benchmarks:</p>

<p>These benchmarks will be evaluated by National  Practice Leads.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience &#8212; Minimum of 10 years marketing and  communications experience.  Time spent at  a marketing or PR firm is a must!</li>
<li>Education &#8212; College graduate, with a degree in  communications or marketing</li>
<li>Skills –</li>
<ul>
<li>Management &#8212; supervision, client relations, project  management, time management, understanding of daily operations of a marketing  firm</li>
<li>Computer – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook,  PowerPoint</li>
<li>Marketing – strong knowledge of marketing strategy  and the tools used to support marketing communications and branding campaigns  (i.e. media relations, advertising, collateral, events, Internet, grass-roots,  etc.); creativity; writing (including Associated Press style format)</li>
